Karnival Perikanan 2009 (Fisheries Carnival)

We visited the Fisheries Carnival today as it was close to home in Muara. There were food products mini expos like lekors which my sons like very much and fresh fishes and prawns for sale at a reasonable prices. Many activities were also held such as coconut bowling, fishing contest, guess the weight of a particular fish and a mini aquarium. My wife bought fresh 'selongsong' fishes (i think its sea bass in English) as it was cheap. Below are some of the pictures.

Liverpool draw again!!!

From espn soccernet...

Liverpool missed the chance to go level on points with Manchester United at the top of the Premier League and slipped to third behind Chelsea on a night to forget for Rafa Benitez. While Chelsea beat Middlesbrough 2-0, Liverpool could only draw 1-1 away to Wigan as Mido scored on his from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute to cancel Yossi Benayoun's opener.

Morning after the blackout

Blackout

Muara was without power for 2 nights due to the flood in Bandar. My children did their homework and studies using candlelight, reminding me of stories my parents and grandparents told me about Brunei back in the old days.

Relief came last night when the power came back on.

Lunch @ OGH

My parents invited all of us for lunch at OGH last Sunday. Here are some pictures of my nephews, my daughter Nurul selecting what to have and my younger brother having some curry noodles, I think...

Breakfast @ Country Patch Cafe

I brought my family for breakfast at the Country Patch Cafe. My wife and I have been here before and this was the first time for my children. It was a small place but cosy, serving nice American breakfast. They also serve lunch but I have not tried it. May be one day.

Swimming

My children have been pestering me to bring them swimming since last week, so this afternoon, I did. My daughter, Nurul, packed her swimming gear early in the morning. After the Friday prayer, we went and it rained on the way but fortunately it stopped when we arrived. They enjoyed it very much. After the swim, we had some refreshment.

JPMC Beach

Last Monday, during the Awal Tahun Hijrah 1430 holiday, my children wanted to go to the Jerudong Park Playground but found it closed, well, due to the public holiday. Instead, we went to the Jerudong Polo Club to see the horses and then the beach behind the JPMC...

Hiking at Taman Peranginan Tasik

Took my family on a hike at Tasik Lama. To be honest it was actually my first time hiking there but my wife has been there my times so she lead the way...hehehe... I was particularly surprise that my daughter enjoyed the hike very much.
